Anne Hathaway Talks Love in 'One Day' Interview

 

In the upcoming film One Day (in theaters Aug. 19), Anne Hathaway plays a woman whose feelings for her best friend (Jim Sturgess) evolve over 20 years into something more. And the actress, 28, tells iVillage exclusively that taking a relationship from platonic to passionate is definitely something she can relate to.

"I've totally had crushes on dear friends in my life, and I'm dating one now, so that's nice!" says Hathaway, who's dating actor Adam Schulman. "I had such a crush on my boyfriend before we went out, and now we've been dating for three years. So that one turned out pretty well."

Not all of Hathaway's past relationships have turned out so positively (namely with convicted felon Raffaello Follieri)  -- but the actress says whenever she finds love she can't help jumping in head first.

"I've have no idea how to fall in love sensibly," she says. "It's always been like a fool."
